Sicilian gastronomic luxury indexes hit a new record, driven by the announcement of a fifth Damplo restaurant "somewhere even more expensive than Monaco."
Damplo Group's (imaginary) shares rose 340% after Francesco D'Amplo announced a fifth restaurant, whose location remains top secret "for arancino security reasons."
Investors (also, for now, imaginary) say they're thrilled: "When Ciccio says a dish is worth two hundred euros, I believe him. It's pure charisma," said one analyst who asked to remain anonymous to "avoid being invited to dinner and having to pay."
Il Sole 24 Arancini confirms: the Sicilian culinary luxury sector has never been stronger — at least on paper, literally, the menu's paper.
